The Artist is one of the preppers that players can find and deliver missing items to in Death Stranding 2. However, they’re not immediately marked on the map of Mexico and are quite well hidden even when they eventually do get added. Chances are, players might be wondering where to find The Artist in Death Stranding 2, so they can return any missing items they’ve found while journeying around Mexico while building the Chiral Network further. Here’s everything players need to know to track down The Artist.

The ‘Making It Your Own’ trophy in Death Stranding 2 has a few different steps to it. Here’s how to complete them to unlock the trophy.

The Artist’s Location in Death Stranding 2

Tucked Away in the Mountains

The Artist can be found in the mountains just by the C1 South Distribution Center in Mexico. I’ve circled The Artist’s location on the map screenshot above, as well as shown what the outpost looks like when players reach it. The Artist is so difficult to find because their outpost isn’t immediately marked on the map of Mexico like some other outposts are. Like The Bokka, players will need to find one of their missing items scattered throughout the region before the outpost is marked on their map. This, combined with the fact that The Artist is tucked away in the mountains and the map’s contour lines can obscure the prepper’s icon and label, means that it can easily be missed.
There is only one obvious path up to The Artist in Death Stranding 2. This starts directly opposite the C1 South Distribution Center. The path here is pretty clear of rubble and other obstacles that might make it tricky for Sam to find his way up. However, I found it much easier (and faster) to use a vehicle and drive up to the top. Players will know that they’ve reached The Artist when they stumble upon a small shack that looks like a house nestled between the mountains. Head inside and interact with the outpost terminal to deliver any cargo you’ve found for them and connect them to the Chiral Network.

The path up to The Artist’s outpost is very steep and can be tricky to traverse if Sam is carrying a lot of cargo. As such, it’s recommended that players travel light, make sure their stamina is looking healthy, or use a vehicle to make their way up to the outpost to avoid damaging any items they’re delivering to The Artist. This way, they can maximize the Likes they receive from any deliveries they make.

Upon reaching Facility Connection level 1 with The Artist, players will receive some different color schemes for cosmetic customization options.
