How To Get Ancient Chocolate

Chapter 4 has been added in the latest Deltarune update, and in it, there are lots of secret items that you can find. One such item is the Ancient Chocolate, also known as the Ancient Sweet, which is so well hidden that it’s extremely difficult to get. You can only get it if you have made specific choices in the earlier chapters. So, here’s a complete guide on how to get your hands on Ancient Chocolate and how you can use it.

All Donation Fountain Rewards in Deltarune Chapter 4

Deltarune Chapter 4 contains a donation fountain with a bunch of unique rewards, but there’s no way to know what you’ll get until later on.

You can get Ancient Chocolate when you go into the church at the start of Chapter 4 of Deltarune. However, to get this item, you will need to complete specific requirements in the earlier chapters.
Chapter 1 & 2 Prerequisites

In Chapter 1, you must not touch any trees to get Dark Candy. Then, in chapter 2, you must not go through the trash cans in the Trash Zone. You should not get the CD Bagel in the Trash Zone during this time either. If there are any treasure chests containing CD Bagel, do not open them either. You can complete Chapter 3 normally, since there are no requirements tied to this chapter.
Chapter 4 Prerequisites

Before starting Chapter 4, ensure that you don’t have any of the following items in your or in your inventory storage: Dark Candy, CD Bagel, Revive Mint, Revive Dust, Dark Burger, DD-Burger, Tension Bit, Tension Gem, Tension Max. Moreover, you’ll need to have the following weapons in your hand before trying to get Ancient Chocolate:

Light Weapons

Dark Weapons

Light Eraser

Dark Bounce Blade

Light Cactus Needle

Dark Saber10

Light Black Shard

Dark Black Shard

Light Quill Pen

Dark Wing Blade

After ensuring that you have met these prerequisites, you can start Chapter 4. The cutscene will start with you and Susie waking up at Kris’s house and having breakfast. Then, after a brief conversation, all of you will go to the church.
Go To The Church

Kris and Susie will dress up for the church, and you’ll enter the church with Kris’s mom. After the reading begins, Susie will ask you whether you brought anything to do. Choose the option ‘Look in pocket for fun,’ and you will get the Ancient Chocolate.
How To Use Ancient Chocolate

You will be able to use the Ancient chocolate only after you return to the Dark World. It heals Kris 400 HP, and heals others, like Susie or Ralsei, 40 HP. In the Dark World, it is called the Ancient Sweet.

You will have to sacrifice getting lots of items to get the Ancient Chocolate. So, only get the item if you are fine with letting go of your other items.
