Like many of Hideo Kojima’s games, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is filled with interesting interactions during downtime between gameplay. Many of these interactions come in the form of extended cutscenes, but others can be more interactive. In DS2, a great example of this is the quiz-like questions asked by Rainy. At various intervals throughout the game, Rainy will stop Sam before he leaves the DHV Magellan, and poses some surprisingly difficult questions. With this in mind, this guide will provide you with the correct answers to all three quiz questions from Rainy in Death Stranding 2.

Reach Episode 7:

All three of Rainy’s quiz questions are found in Episode 7 – Pod. The questions will always be the same for all players, and are not affected by DS2’s difficulty levels. Once you begin Episode 7, there is a chance that Rainy will stop you as you are exiting the Private Room on the DHV Magellan. With how many times you are called back to the ship to rest in this episode, it seems unlikely that you’ll miss any of the encounters. Still, if you want to ensure that you receive all three rewards, try taking a break from time to time on the ship. Episode 7 is long, so you’ll have plenty of time to do so.
Rainy Quiz Question 1:

Examine the life cycle of each organism depicted, and select the answer that best depicts the “?” icon’s position.
The first question Rainy asks Sam shows three separate objects in three stages of life. One is a human, one is a plant, and the other is a platypus. The platypus, however, is missing the first stage of its life. You must pick the answer that should replace the question mark in the diagram. The correct answer is as follows:

Rainy’s second question looks like it comes straight out of those pesky chiral network IQ exams. Here, you must look at two objects – one a reference shape, and the second a pair of shapes. You must decide which object from the list would turn the pair of shapes into the full reference shape, in this case a 2x2x3 rectangle made of small cubes. The correct answer is:

Rainy Quiz Question 3:

Assuming you depart from F1, select the fastest route to deliver cargo to all facilities depicted in a single run.
As the description states, you must look at the four delivery destinations shown on the map and figure out which route would be the fastest. The correct route is as follows:

B, A, C, D – Up, Left, Right, Down on the D-Pad.
