Additionally, player reports suggest that seeds created before April 2024 may no longer reliably reproduce the same decks or events following the gameplay overhaul update. If experimenting with seeds, especially ones posted before April 2024, it’s worth re-checking them in the current version, as certain combinations and synergies may not function anymore.

Jhinstalock on Reddit identified seed HSC1L2DX as one with a lot of potential, especially as a jumping-off point for a duplication-heavy deck and/or High Card strategy. Players can skip the first two blinds for free shops. The first free shop has the DNA Joker, which will allow players to duplicate one card every round. In the next shop, players need to make sure they only have the DNA Joker active and open the Spectral pack before claiming anything else. Using the Ankh Card will duplicate the DNA Joker. This was tested on a Blue Base difficulty deck.

Pretty normal so far, but there are a couple of tasty Soul cards soon to follow. SoulTornado indicated that they were able to put a Cryptid card in the consumable section and have it multiply over and over again by Perkeo. This could not be replicated with a blue deck, but other players should be able to discover the key to this seed with a ghost deck and some creative thinking. It has a lot of potential in the hands of an expert Balatro player. It is certainly a strong deck and easily takes the player quite a few antes past the 8th ante win.

DNA Splicing Seed

Duplicating cards is a consistent, effective way of toppling high blinds and powering through the later antes. s610 discovered an incredible triple DNA run that allows players to copy powerful cards over and over, so long as they are the first card played. The user notes that by using the ghost deck and beating the first boss blind, the next shop presented is incredible. Hex can be used on the DNA Joker, and opening the spectral grants the Ahnk, which can then be used to duplicate it once more, and finally, the wraith for an additional copy. There are even further possibilities down the line with Brainstorm and the blueprint being accessible, furthering the potential of this run.

Arcade_silent posted this seed that gifts the player with a mime and an ankh to copy, all on the first ante. After a few more antes, Yorick is also accessible, which allows players to trigger an absurd in-hand multiplier multiple times with the duo of mimes. Fighting through the early blinds is hard enough, but when the deck has no variety, no face cards, and just a load of 10s, even ante one looks impossible. There are a few ways of getting the deck off the ground, and with a couple of modifiers to specific suits like the arrowhead, the run starts to look doable. But whether it is possible to go all the way to ante eight with this silly yet challenging seed is yet to be seen.

When running the Gold Deck, the Blueprint will be Eternal, but players won’t ever want to sell or destroy it anyway due to the sheer power it brings in combination with Brainstorm. Also available early into the run is the Photograph, which gives a nice stable way of generating points early whilst still giving players a handy option they can bring with them throughout the run. The seed is perfect for players who want a nice, consistent strategy that still has plenty of flexibility to be built how they choose, but the basic combo is enough to carry any method to infinity.
